I just discovered FanBox!

I recently received a friendly message from a user on Triond named The Elements (you can check out his profile by click his name). He told me that I should join a website called Fanbox, and that I could earn much more than what Triond can pay out. Intrigued, I clicked on the link.

Apparently, Fanbox pays a buttload. The top earner on the Fanbox main page has earned over 20 THOUSANDS dollars and has used those earnings to purchase a house! Now this is way higher than the 5-10 dollars a month I am earning from Triond. Everything on the website is also free, so I thought, heck, why not?

I'll be adding Fanbox to one of my list of websites I'm using to make money online. Perhaps one day I'll be able to pay off my tuition and all my loans with the money Fanbox makes me. But right now, I'm still trying to find out what I'm suppose to do. I wish FanBox was more user friendly.

Good luck everyone!

My Totals

Before creating this blog, I've actually been trying to make money online. I've been quite successful, but nothing amazing that a full-time job wouldn't get me. Below are my totals for each website I've received money from.

Remember: you could also view my running total on the right side of the blog!
  • Triond: $106.91
  • Postloop: $28.14
  • Points2Shop: $95.53
Running Total: $230.58

The First Post of Many

As I was sitting down in my seat listening to my biology lecture, I suddenly realized how broke I was. In my wallet was five dollars - enough money for a good sandwich and a bottle of water. I wouldn't receive another  check from the government for another month or so when my financial aid comes in. My parents had no money, and all that was left in my house was uncooked rice, stacks of spam cans, and dried-up ramen noodles.

Thinking about my situation, I thought about my options.

I could probably get a job and try to juggle my full-time college schedule with work, and try to find a part-time position where I only work on weekends. I've actually attempted this before in high school and my grades got so bad I had to quit my job before I even reached my first quarter. College, while the schedules are much more flexible, has course work ten times harder than high school ever was.

Then there was my access to the internet. I told myself: "Hey, I'm essentially getting free internet access just for being a college student. Why don't I make the most out of it?"

I created this blog in an attempt to make some money online. I will keep a running counter of the total amount of money I make online. My goal is to spend at least a few minutes every day doing something productive online that could make me money. Even if I make only two dollars a day, an extra 50 dollars a month could be the difference between a homecooked meal and dry noodles in the microwave. And I prefer the homecooked meal.

Here, I will be posting my success and failures with trying to make money online, and I'll share everything I've learned with all of you! If you have any tips for this newbie money maker, please feel free to share by leaving a comment in one of my blog posts. Or, if you have any questions for me, make sure you ask! I'd be happy to answer them for you.

Still broke and hopeful,

Jay

Dinner Tonight: A healthy dose of three slices of spam and a cup of white rice. It was inevitable, haha.
